Yeh Hai Chahatein is an Indian television series produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms and featuring Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi as lead roles, serving as a spin-off from her popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
This show debuted on 19 December 2019 as a family drama, focusing on Dr. Preesha Srinivasan (Sargun) and rockstar Rudraksh Khurana (Rudraksh).
Preesha
Yeh Hai Chahatein, the spin-off from popular show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, has captured audiences’ hearts with its captivating narrative and star cast performances – especially Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi’s stellar work as Abir and Zain respectively.
Preesha has been an impressive female lead in this serial and her struggles as a single mother are truly inspirational. Preesha treats Saraansh like she would any one of her biological children despite being completely out of his genetic lineage.

Saransh
Yeh Hai Chahatein is a spin-off of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein that stars Sargun Kaur Luthra as its female lead and first premiered on Star Plus in December 2019. Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms production house, Abrar Qazi serves as its male protagonist.
Prisha from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein plays the central role in this story arc as she takes care of Saransh after Ishita passes away – not only as a single mother but also a successful businesswoman.
Yuvraj, Preesha’s brother-in-law, attempts to use Saransh as his trust fund while insulting her. Aryaasheel provides comic relief as Mishika Srinivasan on this show.
Rudraksh

Preesha, a Gynecologist, raises Saraansh after her sister passes away and dedicates herself solely to raising him. However, when Rudraksh appears as an unexpected rockstar rockstar he initially makes her hate him; yet eventually they develop a romantic bond and she falls deeply in love with him.
Abrar has done an outstanding job playing Rudraksh Khurana; his fans love him intensely as his character has an unpredictable and secret past. Satyajit Sharma plays his father Balraj Khurana; his complex character adds depth to family dynamics as he often has conflicts with his children but eventually learns of Saraansh being related by blood and accepts him into his heart as one of his own.
Ishita
Ishita, a doctor, has singlehandedly raised Saraansh all by herself. She greatly loves her daughter and faked her death in order to expose Param as a murderer – also getting back the love of Raman, whom she thought had abandoned her.
This show has an enormous fan base. It demonstrates divorce, infertility, remarriage and mature love as well as dealing with issues such as child abuse. Furthermore, this program also addresses women empowerment.
Sargun Kaur Luthra plays Preesha Srinivasan while Abrar Qazi plays Rudraksh “Rudra” Khurana on this show that follows them post-leap in their lives and story will take many unexpected twists and turns.
